Clinical Trial Updates: What Do the Data Say About the Management of Iron Overload?


Join Dr. Maria D. Target Audience

This activity is designed for haematologists, medical oncologists, haematology-oncology specialists, and other healthcare professionals involved in the screening, evaluation, treatment, and management of adults and children with iron overload, resulting from the spectrum of chronic iron overload diseases.

Learning Objectives


After participating in this activity, participants should be better able to:
  • Utilize an understanding of recent efficacy and safety clinical trial data on the use of iron chelation therapy to develop treatment strategies that will reduce the risk of clinical sequelae in patients with thalassaemia, myelodysplastic syndromes, sickle cell disease, and rare anaemias.
