Iron Overload Case Library II, Case 4: Noncompliance with Iron Chelation Therapy in an Adolescent with Thalassaemia Major


Join Dr. Adlette C. Inati for this case study in which she elucidates the association between compliance to iron chelation therapy and reduction in iron overload and prolonged survival in patients with thalassaemia major. As demonstrated by her case patient, barriers to compliance exist, regardless of chelating agent used.
